NCOUR - BAROQUE-N DREAMS
BAROQUE-N DREAMS
HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE YOUR WORK?
I describe it formally as compilation aesthetics. It is inspired compositionally by geometry with a heavy dose of art history and recently contemporary design elements and photography.
WHAT DOES YOUR ART FOCUS ON?
I use imagery from the public domain with an emphasis on art historical imagery to create a contemporary narrative or dialogue. I try to explore ideas that the images don’t convey on their own. With each image I try to have the sum of all the parts create something unique.
WHAT TRIGGERS YOUR IMAGINATION?
I take a lot from day to day conversation and life. Maybe even more than I realize. Historical and contemporary artists also inspire me.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
Salt Lake City UT, USA. I am currently an artist in residence at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art.
WHEN DID YOU JOIN INSTAGARM?
A few years ago, but I didn’t start seriously posting my artwork until about a year ago.
HOW DID IT MAKE YOUR WORK EVOLVE?

format for it to reach a lot of people. Thanks to features from some great accounts, the work has garnered some great exposure and opportunities.

Currently I have been working mostly alone. I was glad to be able do something for Plastik magazine.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU POST?
I try and post at least one thing a day, but sometimes I miss that mark.
