REDEFINING PURPOSES

HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE YOUR WORK?

I’d say my work is a modern day take on pop art. Minimal, quirky and straight to the point.

WHAT DOES YOUR ART FOCUS ON?

Visually I like to use contrasting colours and simple compositions to create my artworks. I love thinking up new witty ideas from ordinary objects to create something clever with the everyday.

WHAT TRIGGERS YOUR IMAGINATION?

I’m always looking around me for inspiration. It could be something as simple as an object sitting on my desk which triggers an idea. I always try to look beyond the everyday nature of an object to see how wit and humor can be conveyed in it.

WHEN DID YOU JOIN INSTAGRAM?

I have two Instagram accounts, the latest being my design one which I started in March 2016.

HOW DID IT MAKE YOUR WORK EVOLVE?

It’s been a great outlet for my work and has helped

put me in touch with brands and galleries who are looking to collaborate, as well as art pages who have published me which has been great for exposure. It’s also really inspiring to see what other artists are doing and to share a platform with them.

WHO ARE THE PEOPLE YOU WORK WITH?

I’ve collaborated with musicians, brands and

magazines. I find its good to work with a broadspectrum of people who can spark new ideas

and concepts for my work.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU POST?

I try to post work every two to three days, it depends how much free time I have. I always keep a written list of all my ideas for artworks so I constantly have a bank of ideas when it comes to designing.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST LIKED ARTWORK/ PHOTO?
One of my personal favourites is the banana gun, it makes me laugh every time I see those mini banana bullets. Another would be the Nutella stick which is one of the most shared designs I have done. It wasn’t hard to come up with something clever for this as I’m a big fan of it.

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LISTEN TO?

I’m a big fan of David Bowie, he’s not only agreat musician but also a big character. I find hiscreativity and originality very inspiring.

WHAT ARE YOUR LATEST PROJECTS OR COLLABORATIONS?
A group exhibition in Paris. An animation for a large online retailer... still top secret.
