ESTEESDAVE - THE SWEETEST TABOOS

THE SWEETEST TABOOS

HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE YOUR WORK?

I would describe my work as my slogan "outing of line" (saliendome de la raya) with eroticism, humor and unconventional behavior - leaving behind taboos we had since we were kids. I’ve always thought to myself, “why not color outside the lines?”

WHAT DO YOUR ILLUSTRATIONS FOCUS ON?

I wanted to show the world that our favorite cartoon characters are like us, ordinary people who are not so perfect, irreverent and somewhat risqué.

WHAT TRIGGERS YOUR IMAGINATION?

My imagination goes beyond the everyday, yet I wanted to keep these animated characters, which generate a feel of softness, related to childhood.

As we grow and change, we keep carrying these scenarios but break the stereotypes.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

Buenos Aires.

WHEN DID YOU JOIN INSTAGRAM?

December 2012.

HOW DID IT MAKE YOUR WORK EVOLVE?

I've gained popularity in different countries – this is major!

WHO ARE THE PEOPLE YOU WORKED WITH?

I worked with Spanish online magazine petardeo.com for its launch.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU POST?

Once a week.

WHAT ACCOUNT DO YOU FOLLOW RELIGIOUSLY?
Greg Leo Guillemin, it's one of the pages I follow on Facebook. I think he is a great illustrator who also goes to that mood where we sample everyday situations, animated characters and famous comics.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST LIKED ARTWORK/ PHOTO?
My illustration of Peter Pan.

WHAT ARE YOUR LATEST OR FUTURE PROJECTS/ COLLABORATIONS?
My plan is to throw an exhibition and sell my artwork.
